Saturated fats are found in animal products and processed foods, such as pastries, dairy products, chips, and meats. Saturated fats are considered bad fats as they are know to raise your LDL cholesterol.

Unsaturated fats are found foods such as avocados, nuts, and olives. Additionally, studies have shown that unsaturated fats are good for your heart - they have the ability to lower LDL cholesterol and raise HDL cholesterol ("good" cholesterol).
